The Expert News Rotator Webpart – V1.1 released

After a initial release of the news rotator, ive fixed some bugs based on feedback and rereleased it here.
Bugs fixed include:
1. Images not displaying
Additionally ive added in a couple of extra CSS files. The inital release was optimized to use images with an image uploader column feature which allows an image to be uploaded with the news item. The image is then resized accordingly (settings allow to fix this size). This makes the use of the image uploader column really easy. Ill be releasing this soon.

some feedback…
we get a lot of items posted so what would be great for us…and others im sure…is the ability for the end user to see older posts i.e. an up/down arrow to scroll down and see the older posts.
it looks great with the 3 visible items…and that is how we would use it…but is unusable for us without users been able to see older items.

I was just wondering if you had planned on releasing the source from your Codeplex project so others can work on this as well.
The control itself is very nice but we would like to change the tab orientation and several minor things.
If you could send the code to my email that would be very helpful or at least post it on your Codeplex for this project.

3 Questions:
Is it possible to create an slideshow with the announcements? I mean, automatically change the main announce every 5 seconds with the list of announcements available.
The body doesn’t show the list column selected. Will it be solved in future versions?

Fantastic little web part, saved me a lot of hassle. One question though. In your guide you mention a plugin called PAImageUploader. I’ve been unable to find this on the net and would like to test your web part with it as I’m hoping to use it to automatically create the thumbnails.

This Web Part dont work on WSS 3.0, after hours of Testing and searching on the Internet it dont want to run, i only get the normal news-overview but no News Rotation.
So if someone know a Solution, please explain it here.

What kind of image uploader column do we need?
I can’t seem to find the one that is required to make this work properly.
I use ArtfulBits Image Upload column but it actually attaches the image to the item, it doesn’t return a link…
