Facebook gets advertising

So apparently im a little late on the uptake, but i see facebook has decided to get some advertising on the profile pages. So it turns out that even Mr Zuckerberg himself has succumbed to the advertising world. Well at least he could have sold it for the $1Billion he was offered before planting advertising all over it. Hopefully it doesnt become a sea of sponsored links and banners. Check out the related story
